WIBERG PRESS RELEASE
Taste, Quality, Safety – WIBERG
The vision of the Salzburg-based spice producer is "to offer people maximum enjoyment and the best taste experiences". WIBERG offers its customers more than just a product – they get a complete concept that ranges from assessment of the end consumers' requirements to product concepts developed in house, including recipe development, as well as creative packaging design and declaration in compliance with food legislation. Its core competence lies in blending and formulating spices and active agents for meat product manufacturing, refining casings and supplying the gastronomy industry.
HISTORY: TRADITION WITH VISION
What started as just an idea in 1947, to always offer butchers a standardised flavour for their products, has since become an internationally successful business: "From its small beginnings in the Stuhlfelden area of Salzburg, it has now become a global company with several international sites," says Managing Partner Marcus Winkler proudly. In 2014, the spice producer achieved a turnover of EUR 142 million with 697 employees worldwide. "Standing still is moving backwards," explains the third-generation owner of the company. "That's why we are constantly developing ourselves." Following many years of success in the core European markets, the future will be shaped by expansion into new markets.
